PRISM v1 — Tutorial
Keep a recording drive from ever filling up: the S: virtual disk, scheduled capacity checks, the smart-recycling logic with a live simulator, configuration, and the system tray. Click any section to expand it.
PRISM — Partition Recycling and Intelligent Storage Management — keeps a recording drive from ever filling up. It runs unattended in the background and, on a schedule:
- Creates and maintains a dedicated 50 GB virtual
S:drive for your recordings. - Checks how full
S:is every few minutes. - When it crosses a threshold, it deletes the oldest folders first — always keeping the newest few.
The classic use case: a video-review recording drive at a karate competition. The recorder keeps writing new match folders to S: all day; PRISM silently recycles the oldest ones so recording never stops because the disk is full.
It installs as a Windows scheduled task with a system-tray icon for at-a-glance status. PRISM is part of the ScriptMasters family alongside SETup and WKFusion.
